Facilitating language development from childhood to adulthood

LOGOPEDIA

Speech therapy for children, adolescents and adults.

Voice, speech and language disorders/difficulties.

Swallowing disorders.

In the area of speech therapy, we carry out the prevention, detection, evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of all communication disorders and non-verbal oral functions, both in the child and adolescent population and in adults. During the intervention process with adults, exercises designed to recover the affected functions are performed, which must be complemented with the exercises scheduled for home autonomously, to advance the recovery process in a comprehensive manner. In sessions with minors, we maintain fluid and constant communication with families to provide specific exercises that can be done at home and, where necessary, we coordinate with schools.

What will be done on the first visit?

The objective of the first session with the speech therapist is to collect all the necessary information that is related to the pathology and/or difficulty detected. A small initial evaluation is carried out to detect and confirm the difficulties that the person presents and to better specify the type of intervention necessary, adapted to their specific needs. In the sessions with minors, a personal interview is carried out with the family members and/or the minor themselves and the family members are informed of the type of intervention that is going to be carried out, as well as providing information about the methodology of the center and intervention that will be carried out. carried out by our specialist to achieve the proposed objectives.
